QUALITY GUARANTEE SYSTEM


The final objective of the Quality Guaranty System of the Doctoral Programme is to guarantee the quality of the training and services that the students receive and to promote continuous actions to review and improve the Doctoral Programme.

The Academic Commission of the Doctoral Programme is the body responsible for monitoring and guaranteeing the quality of the Programme.

The Academic Commission has the following quality guarantee functions:

  • Collect data and evidence through opinion polls to students and Thesis Directors during the development of the Doctorate.
  • Analyze and assess the results obtained and, based on these data, propose improvement plans.
  • Inform the Academic Doctoral Commission on the evaluations and progress obtained in the performance of their functions.
  • Disseminate the work carried out in the different lines of Research and the results derived from the Doctoral Theses by updating the website of the Doctoral Programme.
  • • Attend meetings of Quality Guaranty Systems at the Doctoral and School Programmes level.

The actions of the Academic Commision of the Doctoral Programme follow the mechanisms and procedures for evaluating, updating and improving the Doctoral Programme established in the UPM Quality Guarantee System (SGIC).
