COMMITMENT FOR TRAINING AND SUPERVISION OF THE DOCTORAL STUDENT

Following the guidelines of Royal Decree 99/2011 that regulates official doctoral studies, the Governing Council of the UPM on July 16, 2017 approved a document that includes the COMMITMENT FOR TRAINING AND SUPERVISION OF THE DOCTORAL STUDENT. This document establishes the Functions and Obligations of both, the doctoral student as well as the Thesis Director and the Tutor, guaranteeing the adequate framework for the completion of the Doctoral Thesis.

This document applies to all students of the 02E4 Doctoral Program and must be delivered during the first 6 months from the beginning of the Doctoral Thesis. The document must be signed by the doctoral student and his/her supervisor (as well as the tutor, in case the supervisor is from outside the UPM) at the program secretariat. A total of 2 signed copies must be submitted. Once all the copies are signed by the different ranks, the Vice-Rector's Office for Research, Innovation and Doctorate will keep one copy on deposit, the other being returned to be filed by the Doctoral Program.
